Vladimir Gobozov was born in 1960.
1978-1983 Architectural faculty of The State Polytechnic Institute.
1985- studying at the faculty of Arts, the department of painting, the branch of the Academy of Arts.
Independent creative work is always an important deed. His paintings reflect a mixture of cultures - his background - but avoid any superficial veneer of Contemporary Internationalism, his paintings could possibly be more accurately described as Contemporary Folk. In our strange and mad World his characters seem to be entitled to keep an enigmatic silence, answering their predestination to serve the fragile beauty. Gobovov’s pictures are united by their semantic nature, the importance of signs, the presence of the inner implication.
The artist combines usual devices with considerably renovated “technologies” of representation. Temptation and mystery, the mixture of austerity and indifference, of eternity and secrecy are reflected in his pictures.

1994 - Member of the International Federation of Artists (UNESCO).
1994 - Member of International Art Fund.
1997 - Member of ASEA (Spain, Barcelona).
1998 - Member of Moscow Union of Artists.
1999 - Awarded on Biennale by the medal of Magnus-Laurentius Medices (Italy, Florence).
